Ear Candling

A non-invasive way to heal

What is an Ear Candle?
An Ear Candle is a hollow conical tube made with 100% unbleached muslin, paraffin wax, bees wax, and herbal scented oil. It has a tapered end formed to fit the ear.

Where did the Ear Candle come from?
Ear Candling is a technique that has been around for centuries. It has been passed down from many generations by Egyptians, Asians, Europeans, and South American cultures and is being revived again today.

The process of Ear Candling.
The process of ear candling involves the preparation of the ear with oil to loosen the wax prior to candling. Ear candling involves the heating of the Eustachian tube and is finished off by cleaning with hydrogen peroxide.

How does Candling work?
Aside from helping to remove ear wax, it is thought that since the ears are delicate, that the movement of smoke and the heat from the candle can cause subtle energy changes which in turn may offer relief from pressure or energy blockage.

Does Candling really work?
Response from several thousand of users indicates candling is very effective. There are frequent reports of relief from ear wax build up, hearing problems, ringing in the ears (Tinnitus), sinus problems, headaches and even infections.

Can all of the wax remaining in the used portion of the candle really be from my ear?
No. Some of the wax residue is from the candle. By carefully examining the residue, you may be able to distinguish between candle and ear residue. The most important thing to notice after candling is how good your ears feel.

When and how often should this be done?
Ear candling is done when a person is experiencing headaches or dizziness.

It can be done as often as the person feels it is necessary. This has to be an individual's decision. It takes the ears about twenty-four hours to replace the protective coating of wax when removed.

Is there any medical reason that Candling should not be done?
Recently, a candling patient took candles to the Mayo Clinic, and the doctor stated that using candles is fine. However, they should not be used if the person has a hearing aid, tubes in the ear, or has a puncture in the ear drum.
