What is the science of biological terrain?
The science of Biological Terrain involves the study of the cells in the human body and the interstitial fluid environment that nourishes those cells.

What is the role of Biological Terrain in the human doby?
The Biological Terrain functions in many ways to improve your health. The interstitial fluid environment acts to deliver nutrients to every cell in the human body. The electrolytes, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, hormones, and fluid within the Biological Terrain enable the body’s cells to perform all of their vital functions for maintaining a healthy life.

In addition to supplying nutrition to the body’s cells, the Biological Terrain is also responsible for carrying energy-rich substances throughout the body for the production of energy, or ATP. ATP is the form of energy that is needed to carry out most actions and reactions in the body.

How is Biological Terrain monitored?
A computerized device called a BTA S-100TM is used to monitor the body's Biological Terrain. Following a 12-hour fast, urine and saliva samples are taken first thing in the morning and are then assessed by the BTA S-100TM.

What dose the BTA S-100TM measure?
pH: This is a measurement of the alkalinity or acidity of the body's fluids. Proper food digestion and absorption, enzyme activation and binding of hormones with their receptor sites are all dependent upon very specific pH levels.

Redox: This measurement provides data regarding the ORP or level of electrons in the fluids. Specific levels or electrons are necessary in order for the body to produce energy or ATP.

Resistivity: This value is a measurement of the level of minerals in the fluids. Critical levels of minerals are needed by the body to carry out its many functions. Levels that are too high or too low can contribute to demineralization, stagnation, or congestion. All of these can interfere with the cell’s ability to function optimally.

When cells live in a healthy Biological Terrain with balanced pH, nutrients and hydration levels, they will thrive. The may also be better equipped to resist the effects of damaging organisms such as bacteria, viruses, yeast, and fungi.
